I’m already looking forward to being there and meeting and playing with Magic fans from all over…

The difference between a really strong BC deck and an unedited precon is still there, and I think Firkraag is the perfect middle ground. There’s only five cuts I’d make if I was going to make changes to it.

Today’s article was my opportunity to sit down with Nathan and chat about attending Magic conventions and get to know him a little better.

AlarionMTG: She is a badass Goblin in a wheelchair, that started from the bottom and rose to the top, becoming one of the Izmagnus and serving directly under Niv-Mizzet—one of my favorite characters—so character-wise she won me over from the start!

ultramonkeydude: I actually just picked up Last March of the Ents and I think this would be pretty cool in this deck because my commander is a 10/10. I also just learned about Cavern-Hoard Dragon, which looks like a sick card!

The flavor is there for most of them! I’m a big fan of cards like Displacer Beast. The goal of the deck was to shove as much of the D&D art in there while still having a defined wincon and having a deck that would still be fun for both me and everyone I play the deck against.

I do want to make one thing clear: nobody was harmed during the making of this content. It’s all done with special effects, I promise!
